Suzume No Tojimari

Suzume no Tojimari is going to release on 21 April 2023 in India as well as many other countries. This action-adventure modern movie follows the story of a high school girl named Suzume Iwato. Suzume lives in rural Japan with her old aunt Tamaki. One day, she meets a boy named Souta and falls in love with him at first sight.

By following Souta she finds a mysterious door that can join a portal to another world. The door is a sealed portal to a realm where lives giant worms that threaten Japan with massive earthquakes and tsunamis. For a long time, Souta’s family locks those doors, but accidentally Suzume finds the keys to the door and releases the keystone which powers the doors. From that realm world, a magical cat called Daijin appeared. The cat turned Souta into a chair. To fix her mistakes Suzume joins Souta and recaptures Daijin.

Suzume – Emotional Fulfilling Story

The main duo of Suzume No Tojimari movie Suzume and Souta is the soul of this movie. The way of supporting each other seamlessly alternates between being funny and being heartwarming, and that goes a long way to make their connection feel genuine. Suzume shines on her own by moving past serious trauma. This arc is exemplified by revealing the real-life tragedy, which she suffered through.

Suzume – Few Missteps

Unfortunately, Suzume isn’t also without its own problems. While Suzume and Souta have a good dynamic, the movie never puts any focus on their romance, that’s why it ends up feeling undeveloped. Not only that, there isn’t a consistent supporting cast, with Suzume and Souta. They just interact with random people whenever they look for a door to close and move on. Anyway, the last third of the movie has a consistent supporting cast.

Why Still You Should Watch Suzume

In spite of these problems, Suzume No Tojimari is still a great movie. This story has its own unique story. It is made apparent upon the reveal of the specific tragedy being referenced in the story. The visuals and music are spectacular, and the characters are all charming in their own right, The character of Suzume herself is one of Shinkai’s most endearing protagonists. Suzume No Tojimari is a successful movie about loss and overcoming tragedy.
